Monetia Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Monetia (the "App") is built by an independent developer ("we"). Our core principle is local-first: your ledger lives on your device, and we operate no backend server that stores your books.

2. What we collect

• Ledger data (on-device): amounts, categories, notes, merchants and receipt images are stored in the app's local database, and — if you enable it — synced through your own private iCloud. This data is never sent to us.
• AI processing (on demand): only when you use voice booking, receipt scanning or AI chat are the relevant text/audio/image forwarded to your configured AI provider (default Firebase AI Logic / Google, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint you enter). No account identifier is attached; we cannot link requests to you.
• We do not collect: no sign-up, no ad identifiers (IDFA), no third-party tracking SDKs, no behavioral analytics.

3. Storage & security

• Data is protected by iOS data protection; iCloud sync uses Apple's encrypted transport within your own iCloud account.
• Receipt images stay on-device and can be deleted at any time from the record editor.

4. Third-party services

• Firebase AI Logic / Google Gemini — processes AI requests you initiate. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Self-configured OpenAI-compatible providers (DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Ollama, …) — your choice; their policies apply.
• Apple iCloud — only when sync is enabled, inside your own iCloud account.

5. Permissions

• Microphone / Speech Recognition: records only while you hold the record button; on-device transcription first, audio sent to AI only if transcription fails.
• Camera / Photos: capturing or picking receipt images only.
• Notifications: budget 80%/100% alerts only.

6. Your rights

• Export: Settings → Data → Export CSV, anytime.
• Delete: deleting the app deletes all on-device data; we retain nothing (we never collected).
• Disable AI: unused AI features send nothing off-device.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.

8. Changes

Material changes will be announced in-app and on this page.
